This Cookie Policy explains how Emera Facility Services Pty Ltd (ABN 72 644 583 595) ("Emera", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on the website located at emerafs.com.au (the "Website"). This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information more generally.

1. Definitions

1.1 A "cookie" is a small text file placed on a user's device by a website, which enables that website to store or retrieve information about the user's device, preferences or prior activity.

1.2 References in this Policy to "cookies" include similar technologies such as pixels, local storage, software development kits and device identifiers, to the extent those technologies perform an equivalent function.

3.3 Functional cookies are used to retain information entered into a form in the event that submission fails, and to record media playback preferences. These cookies are retained for the duration of the browsing session or such longer period as is stated in the Website's cookie settings.

3.4 We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising, cross-site tracking, audience segmentation or the creation of marketing profiles, and we do not permit third parties to do so through the Website.

4. Third party cookies

4.1 Certain cookies described in clause 3 are set by third party service providers engaged by us to deliver analytics and media hosting functions on our behalf. A current list of those providers is available on request from privacy@emerafs.com.au.

4.2 Where a third party sets a cookie through the Website, that party's own privacy and cookie policies apply to its handling of the resulting information. We do not control the practices of third parties and accept no responsibility for them.

4.3 Media embedded from third party platforms is loaded only after the user has consented to the relevant optional cookie category.

5. Management and disablement of cookies

5.1 A user may accept, reject or withdraw consent to optional cookies at any time using the cookie settings available on the Website.

5.2 Most browsers allow a user to block or delete cookies through the browser's settings. Instructions differ between browsers and are available from the relevant browser provider.
